John Morrison
John first came to the WWE after co-winning the WWE's 2002 'Tough Enough' reality program. For winning he was given a WWE developmental contract and sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling, whom the WWE used at the time to train and develop their future talent. In March of 2004 John appeared on RAW as Johnny Blaze. A couple weeks later he was Johnny Spade. Again, a few weeks later it was changed to Johnny Nitro. After a few months on RAW he was sent back to OVW were he began to be partnered with Joey Mercury and their manager Melina. The team, known as MNM, won the OVW Southern tag team titles there until finally called up to SMACKDOWN in April of 2005. They immediately made an impact on SMACKDOWN by winning the tag team titles three times during their first year. They lost their titles for the final time at 'Judgment Day' 2006 to Paul London and Brian Kendrick as Johnny Nitro and Melina suddenly turned on Joey Mercury. This led to then SMACKDOWN GM Teddy Long firing Nitro and Melina from SMACKDOWN and the two became part of the RAW roster the following week. At RAW he won his first singles competitor belt by capturing the WWE Intercontinental Championship and defending it for four months before losing it to Jeff Hardy on the October 2, 2006 episode of RAW. The following month Nitro got the belt back from Hardy but then lost it back to him the following week. That same month there was a small reunion of MNM as Joey Mercury came back to partner up with Johnny Nitro and Melina to take on an open challenge made by the Hardy Boys. The teams feuded for months with one another until Mercury had an legitimate injury. Nitro then teamed up with Kenny Dykstra until drafted to ECW during the 2007 WWE draft. In June of 2007 he made his ECW debut with a victory and then captured the vacant ECW title with a victory over CM Punk when he was a last second replacement for Chris Benoit. A couple of weeks after winning the title Johnny Nitro's name was changed to John Morrison. CM Punk had several opportunities to try and take John Morrison's ECW title but failed multiple times. Punk finally took Morrison's ECW belt on September 1, 2007. On the November 16, 2007 episode of SMACKDOWN, Morrison and a rival of his, the Miz, teamed up and won the WWE tag team championship belts from Matt Hardy and MVP. At Wrestlemania XXIV John Morrison competed in the 'Money in the Bank' ladder match but was unsuccessful.Photos:
